Sixty pages of running record, ruled into six columns: date, hours run, pressure, temperature, vibration, action taken. The columns are the book. A reading missing vibration or action taken tells a maintenance planner nothing six months later, when the bearing that was noisy in March finally lets go.

Eight further pages are set apart from the running log, ruled into four columns: date, part, hours at change, by. A filter change buried inside a general log is hard to find again; kept on its own daybook pages, the interval between changes is something you can actually read back.

The book does not print your pressure limit, your temperature limit or your service interval. Those live in the compressor manufacturer's manual, they differ machine to machine, and a printed book cannot be corrected once it is off the press. What the six columns offer is a place to put the reading, not the number itself.

What is inside

Log
60pp
Six columns fixed, so a shift change does not lose the last hour's reading.
Filters and separators
8pp
A daybook of its own, so a filter change is not buried inside the running log.
Notes
20pp
College-ruled, for whatever a column cannot carry.
Reference
7pp
Conversion tables computed from definitions, plus emergency numbers checked against two independent sources.
Last leaf
1pp
A pen test page, printed on purpose so the back leaf survives it.

The film

Page by page

A vertical film from our own bench — this page contacts nobody's server to play it, and downloads nothing until you press play.

A vertical film, 52 seconds: the cover, the ruling page, then 5 reference pages. Synthesised ambient bed, no dialogue — captions in three languages.

Real pages

Five pages from the Compressor Service Logbook laid out as cards: a six-column running-log page, a four-column filter and separator page, a section divider, a college-ruled notes page, and the pen test page.
Five pages rendered straight from the print file: the six-column running log, the four-column filter and separator daybook, a section divider, the lined notes pages, and the pen test leaf at the back. The columns are the product. What a compressor's running hours and vibration reading need is not what a filter change needs, and keeping those two apart is the reason to buy one rather than rule your own.

Questions

What are the six running-log columns?

Date, hours run, pressure, temperature, vibration, action taken.

Where do filter and separator changes go?

A separate eight-page daybook: date, part, hours at change, by.

How big is it?

A5, 148 x 210 mm, 100 pages, 5.72 mm across the spine.

Is it dated?

No. Start it the day the compressor does.

Does it print my pressure or temperature limits?

No, and that is deliberate. Those numbers come from the compressor's own manual, they differ machine to machine, and a printed book cannot be corrected. The columns give you a place to record yours.

What ruling are the notes pages?

College, 7.14 mm, which is 9/32 inch. Twenty-four lines to an A5 page.
