Fifty-six machine-log pages open the book, one table recording pressure, flow, temperature, filter condition and hours run. A hydraulic system that loses pressure slowly over three visits shows it in that table, if the column got filled in each time.

Thirty-two pages of graph paper follow, ruled at five millimetres. A single pressure reading tells you the moment; a curve drawn across a few of these pages tells you the trend, which is the reason the notes here are graph and not lined.

It does not print your pressure limit or your filter-change interval. Those figures sit in the system's own manual or the standard you work to, and a manufacturer can revise one without telling the book. Write yours in the column built to hold it.
