He bound his first book in this workshop in 2011. He still leads the Hibrkraft Experience sessions himself.
The beginning
It started with waste paper
Hibrkraft was founded in 2011, at first under the name hibrcraft, and the early work was recycled goods — making things out of waste paper and old magazines. The focus on one material, leather, came later.
Those first years were also hard years of learning. In one attempt at sewing thick leather that had not been pre-punched, the blunt end of the needle turned back and went into his own thumb. That story is still told in the Hibrkraft journal, not as a funny anecdote, but because skill really is forged through mistakes.
What he leads
He runs the sessions himself
Hibrkraft Experience is led by him in person, and the groups are kept deliberately small — four hours is not enough to watch many pairs of hands at once.
One of those sessions was attended by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir, who made his first stitches under direct guidance.
Now
What he does today
For corporate work he calls his role Founder & Client Partner, and puts it like this:
I personally, together with the team, take on translating your idea, sourcing the best materials from anywhere in the world, and making sure every detail goes beyond your highest expectations. You will not be speaking to an administrator; you will be speaking to us.

Outside the workshop
Still learning, and still writing
In 2026 he completed a five-hour online course, Painting with Natural Pigments. Not for a qualification — to understand colour as a material, in the way that leather and thread are materials.
He also writes. His books are published on Google Play Books under PT Hibrkraft Kreasi Indonesia, among them Dibuat Pakai Tangan, Dijual Pakai Algoritma and Ekonomi Subsidi.
