A planting window does not wait for a diary to catch up with it. Ground gets ready on its own schedule, and the task that matters is the one in front of you that week, not the one a dated page assumed you would be doing. Twenty-four field pages hold what was planted, where, and what needs checking on it next, in whatever order the season actually runs.
Two pages set the aim for the season before the field pages start filling in: an acre brought into rotation, a yield worth working toward, whatever the season is actually for. Twenty-two squared pages follow for the rest: a supplier's number, a repair that could not wait, a sketch of where a fence needs moving.
The book does not tell you when to plant or when to bring anything in. Frost dates, rotation and rainfall belong to your ground and the year you are having, and a printed page fixed months in advance would be wrong for at least one of the two.

Questions
What goes on a field page?
What was planted or done, where on the ground, and what still needs checking on it.
How big is it?
A5, 148 x 210 mm, 60 pages, 3.43 mm across the spine.
Is it dated?
No. It starts whenever the season starts and does not expire the way a printed calendar year does.
Does it tell me when to plant?
No. Planting and harvest dates depend on your ground, your frost line and the year you are having, none of which a printed page can know in advance.
What ruling are the notes pages?
Squared, 5 mm, for sketches and measurements as much as writing.
Harvey was as indefatigable a labourer as any we have named.
