One hundred and twenty pages for working figures out, not ruled into a cash book's fixed columns. A ledger page assumes every entry looks the same: date, particulars, amount. Working a figure out rarely looks that tidy, and a book that forces it into five columns before you have finished the sum gets abandoned by the second week.
Eleven pages of plain notes follow, for the part of the job that is not numbers at all: what a client actually said, which invoice is still in dispute, a question to raise before the accounts get signed off.
It will not check your arithmetic, and it will not tell you which figures a client is legally required to disclose. Those answers come from the standard you work to and the software you reconcile against, not from a page of paper.
