Forty day-book pages sit at the front, four columns ruled across each: Date, Lot, Checked, Result. A lot inspected and never written against those four fields is a lot nobody can pull back out of stock by number alone.
Sixteen measurement pages follow, ruled for the sample taken, the reading, the result and the disposition. A reading on its own tells you one part; a page of them against the lot tells you whether the process is drifting.
Twelve college-ruled pages of notes sit at the back. It does not print your tolerance or your sampling plan. Those are set by the drawing or the standard you inspect against, and they change from job to job. The book gives you a column for the result, not the number that decides it.
