A case rarely finishes in one appearance. It gets listed, mentioned, adjourned and listed again, weeks or months apart, and a diary that only shows today's date loses the thread of it the moment the page turns. The Hearings section runs four columns across every entry: Date, Case no., Stage, Next, so you can find a case's last position without rereading the file behind it.

Forty-eight of those hearing pages sit behind twelve month pages, so you can find the month before hunting for a date. Twenty-nine further pages, ruled at college pitch, hold what the four columns cannot: what was actually said in chambers, or why a mention got pushed a second time.

The Next column is where a hearing's next date goes. This book does not set that date for you. A court calendar does, and what counts as adjourned, struck out or listed for judgment differs by jurisdiction, and a printed book cannot be corrected once the term has started.

Yes. This edition covers January to December 2028. The 2027 edition is a separate, dated printing.

Does it tell me a filing deadline?

No, and that is deliberate. Deadlines are set by the court, they differ by jurisdiction, and a printed book cannot be corrected if a rule changes. The Next column gives you somewhere to write your own date once the court has set it.
