A lesson plan written on the back of an envelope survives until the envelope is needed for something else. Forty lesson pages exist so a week of teaching has somewhere fixed to live: what was covered, what needs revisiting, what a particular child struggled with on a particular Tuesday.
Twelve pages track the habits that sit around the lessons rather than inside them: reading done outside the curriculum, a skill practised daily until it stops needing to be tracked at all. Three pages set the aim for the year before either section starts filling in.
Twelve ruled pages close the block for whatever neither section was built to hold. The book does not set a curriculum and does not grade a subject. Those decisions come from you, or from whichever syllabus you are actually teaching to, not from a printed planner.
