Sixty log pages, each ruled into five columns: date, joint and procedure reference, position, filler, result. The columns are the book. A weld record missing position or filler is not something an inspector can audit six months later. A plain ruled notebook with a good title on the cover leaves you drawing those columns yourself, at the bench, in marker.
Twenty-nine lined pages follow at college pitch, twenty-four lines to the page. They hold what a column cannot: what the client changed, why the procedure was revised, what the inspector actually said.
It does not print your inspection interval or your acceptance criteria. Those live in a code you work to, they differ by jurisdiction, and a printed book cannot be recalled. The book gives you somewhere to write the number down.
