A shift that starts at ten at night and finishes past dawn does not fit neatly under one date. Write it down in the morning, half asleep, and it is easy to log it against the wrong day, or to lose it entirely by the time you are home and the kettle is on.
Each calendar date gets its own full page, so a shift has somewhere to land even when it runs across midnight. Lined notes pages follow behind the daily pages, and the month and year views carry the roster pattern across the weeks.
