Four millimetres is a tight pitch for a dot grid, tight enough to rule a small sketch or a dense bullet list without the dots crowding into each other. Thirty-eight rows fit the page at that spacing. The same grid at A5 size runs to forty-six; the sheet is smaller, not the dot. Every dot is a piece of vector geometry rather than a tiled image. It stays a sharp point at any zoom, instead of softening into a grey fleck the way a scanned dot grid does.
