Daily Grid Notebook

A grid ruling for the day rather than a list: blank rows and columns you label yourself, then lined pages for what won't fit inside one.

A grid page commits to nothing. It does not print "morning" down the side or "urgent" across the top; it gives you rows and columns and leaves the labels to you. One week that might mean hours against tasks. The next it might mean nothing more than a place to draw a table nobody thought to rule in advance.

The book is undated on purpose. A dated diary bought in March throws away two months before you open it once, and a grid page carries no month printed on it to argue with. Lined pages follow the grid run, plain and unlabelled, for the list that runs past the last row or the note a box was never going to hold.

Nothing here decides what the day means. The grid just stops getting in the way of writing it down.

The film

Page by page

A vertical film from our own bench — this page contacts nobody's server to play it, and downloads nothing until you press play.

A vertical film, 52 seconds: the cover, the ruling page, then 5 reference pages. Synthesised ambient bed, no dialogue — captions in three languages.

Real pages

Five pages from the Daily Grid Notebook laid out as cards: a grid page, a section divider, a lined notes page, a conversion table, and a reference page.
Five pages rendered straight from the print file: a grid page, a divider, a lined notes page, a conversion table, and the reference section. The blank grid is the product. A page that prints its own headings decides your week before you do; this one leaves that decision alone.
Specification card listing the Daily Grid Notebook contents: 180 grid pages, 12 notes pages, 200 pages total, A5 trim, ten signatures of twenty.

Questions

What does a daily grid page actually look like?

Rows and columns with nothing printed inside them. You decide what each one means: hours, tasks, anything the day needs.

Is it dated?

No. Open it on any day and the grid pages carry on from there.

What are the notes pages for?

Plain ruled lines, kept separate from the grid, for a list or a note that outgrows a box.

How big is it?

A5, 200 pages, 11.44 mm across the spine.

Does the grid come pre-labelled with hours or headings?

No. It is left blank so you can label it however this week needs.
