Covers & Components

Planner and book covers, made for you to assemble yourself

Some of our customers do not need a finished book. They already have the page blocks, the binding machine and their own customers — what they are after is the cover alone. This page is for them: binders, printers, garment workshops, and brands that assemble their own products.

Where the difference lies

Components, not white label

These two get confused on the phone often enough that it is worth separating them first:

  • White label — we make the finished book, with your brand on the cover. You receive a product that is ready to sell.
  • Components — we make the part, and you finish it. What leaves our workshop is a cover, not a book.

If you bind in-house, the second model almost always makes more sense: you pay for the work you genuinely cannot do yourself, and you do not pay twice for work your own workshop already does.

What we make

Covers, patches and paper

Planner and book covers

Cut to your size — ISO A4, A5, B5, folio, or any size at all from your own drawing. Plain, or already debossed, embossed, foiled or lasered with a logo. The decoration techniques are the same ones we use on our own work; the detail is on the services page.

Three classes of material, called what they are

  • Genuine leather — we name the grade, not merely that it is genuine: full grain, vegtan, pull-up, crazy horse or chrome tanned.
  • Plant-based vegan leather — for brands that genuinely require an animal-free material. A plant-fibre material, not PU under another name.
  • Synthetic leather (PU) — for a tight budget, a large volume, or a brand colour that cannot be reached on tanned leather. We call it PU, not vegan.

If you have a material supplier you trust, send us the material and we will do the work on it.

Leather patches

Small leather labels carrying a logo — for bags, caps, apparel, or as a label on your own product. Debossed, embossed or lasered, with or without stitching holes.

Paper

Inner paper can be supplied separately as well, cut to your size and folded into signatures ready for sewing if you ask. It is the least requested of these, and we still do it where it is genuinely needed.

Before you ask about price

Four things that make a quotation quick

We do not put a price list, an MOQ or a lead time on this page, because the numbers differ enormously between 50 plain covers and 5,000 logo covers in a special material. Writing one figure that covers all of it would only make the first quotation wrong.

Give us these four and we will reply with the real figures:

  1. Finished size and shape — an ISO size or your own drawing, and whether there is a flap, a tongue or a tie.
  2. Material — genuine leather (name the grade if you know it), plant-based vegan, or PU.
  3. Decoration — plain, deboss, emboss, foil or laser; attach the vector file of the logo.
  4. Quantity and deadline — how many, and when they have to arrive.

For a first order we send a physical sample before full production. Cover material is the hardest thing to judge from a photograph.

Location

Made in Bogor, shipped across Indonesia

Our workshop is in Bogor, West Java. Most of our component customers are in the Jabodetabek industrial area — Bekasi, Tangerang, Jakarta — and the rest are spread as far as Surabaya and Bali. Both regular delivery and cargo work; for large quantities, cargo is almost always cheaper per unit.

We do not open branches in other cities, and we do not claim to have any. There is one workshop, at the same address given on the contact page.

Frequently asked

A few questions that keep coming up

Can I order covers only, with no inner pages?

You can. That is precisely the point of this page.

Can we use our own material?

Yes. Send the material, tell us the size and the decoration, and we will quote for the work alone.

Will our logo appear in Hibrkraft's promotional material?

No, unless you permit it in writing. Some of our component customers sell under their own brand and do not want their supply chain visible. That is reasonable, and we respect it.

Is the vegan material plant-based or PU?

Both are available, and we distinguish between them. If what you order is PU, the quotation will say PU. A plant-based material is called that only when that is what it is — see the term explained.

Do you handle export?

We have before, and we can. Name the destination country and the Incoterm you use.

Send us your cover specification

Size, material, decoration, quantity and deadline. We will reply with a per-unit price, the production time, and a sample you can see first.
