Nobody asks to see a patrol book on a quiet night. They ask for it the morning after something happened at an hour nobody can quite place, and if you cannot point to a written round at 2am, a memory is all you have to hand over. This book gives every day of 2028 its own page for exactly that: somewhere to write the round down while it is still fresh.

Behind the daily pages sits a shorter Keys and access log: Key / fob, Issued to, Out, In. Four columns, for the master key a relieving guard needs to find fast, and the fob that has to come back before the shift that issued it goes home.

The daily pages run from the first of January through the thirty-first of December 2028, a leap year, which is why this edition carries one more daily page than the 2027 one does.

The film

Page by page

A vertical film, 52 seconds: the cover, the ruling page, then 5 reference pages. Synthesised ambient bed, no dialogue — captions in three languages.

A vertical film from our own bench — this page contacts nobody's server to play it, and downloads nothing until you press play.

Real pages

Five pages from the Security Patrol Book 2028 laid out as cards: a daily patrol page, a Keys and access page, a month page, a notes page, and the pen test page.
Five pages taken straight from the print file: a daily patrol page, the Keys and access log, a month page, a college-ruled notes page, and the pen-test leaf. The daily page is the product. A round that was never written down cannot be produced the morning somebody asks for it, however certain the guard who walked it is.
