Reading the same surah on a Tuesday and again on a Friday turns up different things, and most of what turns up the second time is gone by the third unless it gets written down somewhere the first two visits can be checked against.
Each study page holds a passage, a short space for what it says in the translation you are reading, and room for what you actually noticed rather than what a footnote says you should. Notes pages follow behind the study run for whatever a single page will not hold.
It does not tell you what an ayah means and it settles no question of interpretation; that is a conversation for a teacher, not a printed page. What it gives you is somewhere to keep your own notes long enough to read them again.
