A Story from the Same Table: Beautiful Chaos at Our First Workshop

This table is a mess. Offcuts of leather, tangled thread, stacks of paper and used coffee glasses. It is not a tidy sight. But it is one of the most beautiful sights we have ever seen. It is the sight of our first workshop, at Maraca Coffee.

This is not chaos. It is an ecosystem of creativity. Every pair of hands at that table is learning a new language. The language of needle and thread, the language of folding and pressing. The language of patience.

Behind Every Pair of Hands, a Story

Look at those hands. They are not the hands of professional artisans. They are the hands of curious people. People who wanted to try. People who wanted to feel the magic of creating something from nothing.

And among those hands is one pair whose story would become an important part of our own history. The hands of Iq Akbar (@iq_akbar). Yes, the same Akbar who later became our champion, the one who opened the way to the large project with Coffee Toffee.

The Place Where Bridges Are Built

It all started here. At this messy table. Among the smell of coffee and leather. Akbar’s trust in us was not born of seeing a finished product. It was born because they once sat at this table. They felt the process for themselves. They saw the spirit behind it with their own eyes.

This workshop, which we began with a little fear, turned out to be more than a craft class. It became an incubator. A place where relationships are built. A place where customers turn into friends, and friends turn into partners.

We thought we were teaching people how to make a book. As it turned out, we were building bridges.

That wooden table covered in scraps is the silent witness to the birth of a community. Everyone who sat there went home carrying a journal made with their own hands. But we went home carrying something far more precious: evidence that sharing a passion is the best business model in the world.

You may not have been at that table, but you can still feel the spirit of it. Take home a piece of a story born of that same spirit.
