Not Ordinary Carry: The Philosophy Behind a Collection That Lasts

There is a thing called everyday carry, often shortened to ‘EDC’. But look deeper and it is not merely about carrying objects. It is a philosophy. A personal curation of the tools you trust to keep you company through a life. This photograph and note from Fadzerham (@fadzerham) is its manifesto.

He is not showing off new things. He is sharing a conviction. A conviction about honest materials like leather and wood.

What I love about leather and wood is they’re timeless, doesn’t matter if it’s new or decades old, it’ll still fit in the present.

I feel like that sentence sums up everything. This is not about trends. It is about things that time does not wear away. Things that gain character as they age, and become more and more part of their owner.

An Ecosystem of Honour

Then Fadzerham adds something more important still. Something that makes us proud.

And I’m proud to say that most of these stuff were excellently handcrafted by our local “craftsmen”.-

Look at the collection. A Seiko watch on a tough leather strap. A folding knife with a warm wooden handle. A wallet and a keyring, both functional. And among them, our Hibrkraft journal. We are not the star. We are part of an ecosystem. A family of objects born from the hands of local artisans.
