Rules & Policy
HIBRKRAFT CONTENT POLICY
The short version: you may freely use and adapt our blog content, with clear attribution and a matching licence. But our logo, our internal systems and our commercial products are not there to be helped yourself to.
Contributions welcome, as long as they are honest and original. We are open to discussion and firm about ethics. Keep scrolling for the full version.
The heart of our policy: people above everything
Every rule and policy we set at Hibrkraft is rooted in the belief that human interaction, respect and integrity are the foundation. That holds for our use of AI, which we treat as an assistant; for a procurement process we built on friendship; and for the intellectual property we protect out of respect for the creative process.
We work hard to make sure every digital part of what we do — from the design of the site to the content we share — reflects those values. We put clarity, usefulness and a good experience for you first, with a genuine human touch at every step.

Hibrkraft Content Policy
Effective from: 18 May 2025 (Version 1.1 — because even the rules of the game need to grow, to learn, and occasionally to have a coffee and unclench)
At Hibrkraft we believe knowledge is like air: everyone has the right to breathe it in, feel it, and share it back out so the room does not get stuffy. That is why most of the writing and the visuals we bring into the world on this blog go out under an open licence. But — hey — we also believe not everything can be flogged off like the roadside fried peanuts that turn out chewy. Some work is born of all-nighters and litres of coffee, of quiet effort in the middle of a noisy deadline, of moral rights that are not casually up for negotiation. This policy is not here to rein in your creativity or to play content police; it is more an unwritten understanding now written down, drawing a clear line — so that everyone is comfortable, so the creative process is still respected, and so nobody ends up hurt about it later.
A note on Artificial Intelligence (AI): in our workshop we welcome tools that sharpen our craft. We sometimes use AI to help visualise a concept for a header image, or to help draft and articulate our underlying ideas. Think of it as a digital chisel, or a first sketch. But the finished work is always shaped, refined and given its soul by human hands and human minds. We are committed to honest effort and skilled handwork, not to shortcuts.
1. The scope of our content DNA: what you may help yourself to, and what is for looking at only
This policy is the compass for everything we publish in the blog section of the official Hibrkraft site, `hibrkraft.com`. Think of it as a treasure map. It covers:
Articles: long-form writing, opinions that are sometimes odd but (we hope) open the mind, guides that (again, we hope) do not leave you lost in the undergrowth of information, essays born of thinking in a quiet cafe or in the middle of a traffic jam. In short, everything in the shape of text and story, from us to you.
Visuals that support the narrative (the ones attached to blog articles): original illustrations we drew with love, images that keep an article from being nothing but text, editorial photographs that strengthen the story and its context. These are visuals made specifically to enrich the narrative of a blog article.
Worth telling apart: if a photograph of a Hibrkraft product (a mug, say, or one of our printed shirts) turns up in a blog article to _illustrate a concept, a story, or as a worked example_ within that article, it counts as one of these "visuals that support the narrative" and goes out under the open licence. But if that product photograph exists purely for _commercial display, a catalogue, or the product’s own sales page_ outside the context of a blog article, that is a different story and falls under Point 3 (the exclusive one). Clear enough? Like telling real affection apart from the kind that wants something.
Other blog graphics: pull quotes we set so they land harder, informative charts that boil tangled data down to something digestible, or other visual content we have explicitly made and marked for the blog.
Not covered by this open licence (unless we have a lapse and say otherwise in writing, on stamped paper, over a coffee we are buying): anything outside the blog — the text on product pages (all deadly persuasion aimed at getting you to buy), our service descriptions, our internal system documentation with its moods as complicated as a teenager’s, the user interface design of our apps and website, software source code, database structures, and the rest of the software that holds up the technical side of Hibrkraft. That is all our kitchen; please do not salt it, and definitely do not season it without asking.
2. The open licence: play together, grow together, under CC BY-SA 4.0
In that spirit of sharing, every article and image within the blog’s scope (per Point 1) is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0). In plain terms, you are:
Free to share: copy and redistribute our content in any medium or format. Print it on the welcome banner at the entrance to your village if you like, as long as the context is a positive one. Free to adapt: alter it, remix it, or build something new out of our material. Including to make money from it (commercial use) — no problem at all. We are glad if our work turns into the inspiration for something better of yours.
But there is a “but” (the terms that keep this enjoyable):
Attribution that is sweet, not bitter: name *Hibrkraft* as the origin of the idea or the source of the material. Link back to the original on our site (`hibrkraft.com/url-of-the-original-article`). If you change or adapt it, just say honestly that changes were made. Do not claim it as purely your own sweat from nothing when the seed came from here. Honesty is attractive and keeps the money flowing, as the wise say (and they may well read our blog too).
Share under the same licence (ShareAlike): if you make a derivative of our content — turning one of our articles into a video, say, or using one of our illustrations in your infographic — then release that new work under exactly the same licence: CC BY-SA 4.0. So the knowledge keeps circulating rather than stopping with you, and belongs to everyone again. A sharing ecosystem is a lovely thing.
This licence grants broad freedom, but it is not a free pass to be barbaric or unethical. We trust you are grown up enough, and have the conscience, to keep the context of a piece intact — not to twist its meaning into a hoax, a slander, hate speech, or a piece of unsettling propaganda. Do not use our material for anything unlawful, or for anything plainly at odds with the inclusivity, diversity, humanity and common sense we hold onto as tightly as a wallet at the end of the month. Ethics are not written rigidly into a licence; they live in our hearts and in our reasoning as people.
3. The invisible cordon: exceptions and rights we keep to ourselves (do not tinker with these without asking!)
There are things at Hibrkraft whose confidentiality and rights we guard closely, and they are not covered by that Creative Commons licence. This is our private ground; we ask for as much understanding as you would extend to an ex who has suddenly reappeared:
Hibrkraft’s visual identity and trade marks: the Hibrkraft logo in all its variants, the brand name “Hibrkraft”, the slogans, the distinctive iconography, and every element of our visual identity are assets already registered, or in the process of being registered, with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) of the Republic of Indonesia and/or other relevant authorities. They are protected in law, so never use them loosely as part of the trade mark for your own product or service, on your company letterhead, or anywhere else that could lead someone to think it is an official Hibrkraft product or service. We bite.
Technical and internal business intellectual property: system design, software architecture, bespoke algorithms, confidential internal technical documentation, the structure and source of the custom WordPress plugins we built for our own operations, databases, business strategy, product development plans, and other confidential information. All of it is the result of our team’s hard work, research and investment, and it may not be copied, reverse-engineered, reproduced or reused without formal written permission from Hibrkraft. We bite.
Physical product design assets and commercial product photography: the physical products we design (exclusive merchandise, for instance), product photography made purely for a catalogue, for commercial promotion, or for a sales page on an e-commerce platform (different, note, from the “editorial photographs supporting a blog article” in Point 1), product _mockups_, internal prototypes, and the related marketing material. None of it is licensed for public reuse without a specific agreement. We bite.
User data privacy and other sensitive information: we do not play games with user data. Where personal data does end up in our hands, accidentally or because a system requires it (a blog commenter’s email address, say, or a newsletter subscriber’s), we will never own it, sell it, rent it out, or use it exploitatively beyond the service you agreed to. Your privacy is sacred, as sacred as a family’s secret recipe. We bite very hard on this one.
We take a breach of this cordon seriously — not emotionally, but with reasoning and through the proper channels. It may start as an affectionate whisper: a note and a request for clarification. But if you dig your heels in, if there is any sign of deliberate harm, or if there is a serious breach of copyright, business ethics or good faith, do not be surprised when a love letter arrives from our legal team, rather less romantic than a poem.
4. Collaboration and outside contributions: the door is wide open, the rules are clear so nobody elbows anybody
We are delighted when someone wants to weigh in, to share writing, visual work or another bright idea on the Hibrkraft blog. Our door is always open to collaboration, because we believe pooling ideas leaves everyone richer. But so that it works for everybody and there is no Korean-drama plotline between us:
The copyright stays yours, as the creator: you made it, you hold the copyright in full. We will never seize it or claim it as Hibrkraft’s. Full stop.
A non-exclusive licence to Hibrkraft: by sending us your work to publish on our site, you automatically grant Hibrkraft a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide and ongoing licence (for as long as the content is relevant and you have not asked, for a valid reason, for it to be taken down). That means we may edit it (for grammatical clarity, for the Hibrkraft house style, to fit the format, for SEO, or to cut parts that are irrelevant or risky — though we try not to change your substance or your main point without discussing it), reformat it, publish it, distribute it and promote it on the `hibrkraft.com` blog and on other official Hibrkraft channels (our social media, for instance, still naming you as the creator).
Clear, human attribution: your name — or the pen name you choose — will always be shown clearly as the creator. Where there is a short bio or a link to a relevant portfolio, we will try to include it. Unless you explicitly ask to be anonymous.
On payment and compensation: as a general rule, for a voluntary contribution to the blog we do not provide financial compensation, unless there is a specific written agreement made between both parties before your work is sent or published. Think of it as a contribution to a shared knowledge ecosystem, and a chance for your work to reach a wider audience.
A contributor’s views belong to the contributor: the opinions, ideas or views expressed by a guest writer, a quoted source, or any other external contributor are purely their own. They do not automatically reflect the official view, the collective position, or any endorsement by Hibrkraft as a business. We value a diversity of perspectives and provide a platform for it, but that does not mean we agree with, or take full responsibility for, every word they write or say.
Hard line on plagiarism, hoaxes and rubbish content: we are open to fresh, authentic new contributions. But we have an acute allergy and a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism (however small), infringement of somebody else’s copyright, spreading false information, hate speech, content that sets ethnicity, religion, race or one social group against another, pornography, or the manipulation of information in service of something crooked. If we find it, our apologies, but your work will never see daylight on our blog, and your name may end up on our list. Honesty and originality are non-negotiable.
5. Commercial use by you: absolutely allowed, as long as you know yourself and the rules
You are very welcome to use the openly licensed content from the Hibrkraft blog (whatever falls under CC BY-SA 4.0 in Points 1 and 2) to make money or for other commercial purposes. We are not stingy with knowledge. But you must still meet the terms of the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence set out in Point 2:
Clear and correct attribution to Hibrkraft as the source, with a link to the original where possible. Do not forget this one; it is the key to the whole thing.
Your derivative work, or the commercial product that uses our material, must also be released or licensed under the same licence (CC BY-SA 4.0). That is the “share alike” principle, and it is a fair one.
Make sure your commercial use does not infringe Hibrkraft’s other intellectual property named in Point 3 — do not use the Hibrkraft logo as the trade mark of your commercial product, for instance, and do not present your product as though it were an official Hibrkraft one.
Examples of commercial use that are allowed (and that actually make us smile):
Adapting our articles into a training module, an e-book, or paid educational material (with attribution and a ShareAlike licence on the derivative).
Taking our illustrations — the ones clearly licensed CC BY-SA — into your own digital product: a presentation template, a website theme, an app (again, attribution and a ShareAlike licence on your derivative).
Translating our essays or guides into another language and then collecting them into a book or selling them as premium articles (with proper attribution and a ShareAlike licence on the derivative).
Quoting from our articles in a book or another work of yours, citing the source correctly.
Examples of use that is really not on (please do not, it gets awkward later):
Lifting the Hibrkraft logo or our brand elements wholesale and using them for your instant coffee brand, your consultancy, or your YouTube channel. That is trade mark infringement.
Reselling a bundle of our articles, digitally or in print, without adding anything meaningful, without citing the source properly, and as though you had written them yourself years ago.
Claiming work or material from our blog as wholly your own in front of a client, an investor, or a prospective parent-in-law. It will not move you up a class, believe us; it is more likely to embarrass you.
Using our content to support a product or service that is plainly illegal, deceptive, or harmful to people.
6. Disclaimer: because life is not always perfect and information keeps moving
Listen: we try hard, with everything we have (all right, that is a bit much) to put accurate, useful, relevant and non-misleading content on the Hibrkraft blog. Our team researches, verifies and writes carefully. But we are also ordinary people who sometimes mistype, slip up, or leave something out of date without noticing:
Information “as is” and “as available”: all content on the Hibrkraft blog is provided “as is” and “as available”, for general information, education and inspiration only. However hard we try, we make no warranty or representation, express or implied, that everything here is always 100% accurate, complete, fully up to date at any given moment, or suited to your particular situation. Times change fast, and new information keeps arriving.
Use it at your own risk: the decision to use, interpret or rely on information from our blog rests entirely with you and is your own responsibility. Hibrkraft, including its writers, editors and affiliates, is not liable for any loss, damage or negative consequence, direct or indirect, that may arise from using — or being unable to use — the information here. So stay critical, cross-check where it matters, and do not swallow every word whole. Consult a professional where an important decision in your life is at stake.
Not binding professional advice: the content on this blog, particularly anything touching business, finance, law or health, is not intended as specific, binding professional advice replacing consultation with an expert in that field. Always seek advice from a competent professional for your own situation.
7. Report it! Where to report a breach, and where to ask before you go wrong
If you come across something odd out there involving our content — it being circulated without proper attribution, copied wholesale without permission and without embarrassment, used in an online scam, or used for something plainly against the law, against ethics, against decency — do not just stand there like a statue. You can be a spy for the good side and help keep the content ecosystem healthy:
Send an email: `info[at]hibrkraft.com` (swap [at] for @) Or say hello through our official contact page: `https://hibrkraft.com/en/contact/`
Every report and every question is received and answered seriously, and as quickly as we can.
For a report of a breach: we investigate internally. If a breach is established, we first try to contact whoever is involved politely, explain, and ask them to put it right. But if there is no constructive response, if they dig their heels in, or if there is clearly a deliberate intent to cause harm, further action — including legal action where it is necessary and proportionate — becomes the last option we would consider.
For a question about the licence or about use: if you have a question about how to read our licence, if you are unsure whether the way you are using our content is right, or if you want to discuss a possible collaboration outside the standard arrangement, do get in touch the same way. Better to ask first than to take a wrong step and regret it, no? We would far rather talk than reach for a penalty.
8. Governing law and dispute resolution: if it comes to a row, we play at home
Because Hibrkraft was born, grew up and works in Indonesia, every interpretation of this Content Policy, and the settlement of any dispute that might (we hope never) arise over our content or this policy, is governed entirely by the law in force in the Republic of Indonesia. We always favour talking it through to agreement — settling it amicably first, over a coffee. But if it genuinely reaches an impasse and has to go through formal channels, the competent courts in Indonesia will be the referee.
9. In closing: on rights, process, trust, a cup of coffee, and fried banana
We do not believe this world is built only from rigid fences of censorship and absolute claims of ownership over every crumb of an idea. An idea ought to be as free as a bird in the sky — but a bird also knows the way back to its nest, and knows where it first learned to fly. At the same time we are not naive enough to believe any work can simply be cut loose from its context, from its maker’s cold sweat and dark circles, from the feeling that came with it.
Every article we write, every illustration we polish patiently, every line of code we assemble (that last one you do not see on the blog, but it holds the thing up) comes out of a considered process: research that sometimes gives us a headache, lively internal argument (occasionally with raised voices), and often a cup of coffee — or tea — and maybe a bag of chips to keep hunger off. There is always a feeling behind it. We want you to read it, think about it, share it, criticise it constructively, and even build something new and better out of it. But please do all of that consciously, ethically, respecting the process and the source — not grabbing at it and running off without a word.
In the end this policy is not a high wall with wire on top, keeping us apart. It is more like a low bamboo fence painted in bright colours: a marker of where one plot ends so nobody digs the wrong ground, and at the same time an open invitation to sit together on the veranda, share stories, trade ideas, and perhaps enjoy that cup of coffee — and those chips — together. Let us make and share knowledge honestly, fairly, and with respect for one another.
We may review, update or adjust this policy from time to time as Hibrkraft develops, as the digital landscape shifts, or on the strength of your own valuable input. The latest version will always be available on this page, with its effective date and version number. So do drop by again sometime — there may well be something new.
Sincerely, Your Hibrkraft. Cheers!
