Bulk Order & White Label Leather Journals: Your Brand, Our Craftmanship
Looking for a reliable manufacturer to produce premium handmade leather journals under your own brand? Hibrkraft is a leather journal workshop based in Cileungsi, Bogor, Indonesia with capacity up to 2,000 units per month. We serve stationery brands, corporate gifting companies, Etsy sellers, and entrepreneurs who want quality leather notebooks without building their own production facility.
We handle manufacturing. You handle your brand and customers. Simple partnership.
Who Is Hibrkraft?
Hibrkraft Kreasi Indonesia is a leather journal manufacturer located in Cileungsi, Kabupaten Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. We are a small workshop with a team of up to 9 skilled craftsmen who specialize in handmade leather-bound notebooks, journals, and stationery products.
Our workshop is equipped with both traditional hand tools and modern machinery including laser engravers, industrial sewing machines, and embossing equipment. However, the soul of our production remains handcraft. Machines assist where precision is needed, but human hands do the binding, stitching, and finishing that give each journal its character.
We source our leather from established Indonesian tanneries in Magelang, Garut, and Malang. These regions have long traditions in leather production, and working with local suppliers allows us to maintain quality control while supporting the domestic leather industry.
Since our establishment, we have shipped products to Canada, Germany, Netherlands, and United Arab Emirates. We understand international expectations for quality and packaging, and we have experience navigating export logistics with help from trusted third-party partners.

Two Ways to Work With Us
Whether you need branded journals for corporate gifting or want to launch your own stationery line, we offer two collaboration models.

Bulk Ordering
What it is: You order our existing journal designs in quantity, with your logo or branding added. The base product design remains from our catalog, but we customize it with your brand identity through debossing, embossing, foil stamping, or other branding methods.
Best for: Corporate gifting, event merchandise, promotional items, company welcome kits, conference giveaways, employee appreciation gifts, client thank-you packages.
Typical clients: HR departments, marketing agencies, event organizers, companies celebrating anniversaries or milestones, businesses that want quality branded merchandise without designing from scratch.
Advantages: Faster turnaround since we use proven designs. Lower sampling costs. Predictable quality because the design has been produced many times before. Good option if you need branded journals but don’t want to invest in custom product development.

White Label & Private Label
What it is: We manufacture journals according to your specifications, and you sell them under your own brand. We become your invisible production partner. No Hibrkraft branding appears anywhere on the product. To your customers, you made these journals.
Best for: Stationery brands building their product line, Etsy sellers scaling beyond handmade limitations, gift shops wanting exclusive products, lifestyle brands expanding into journals and notebooks, entrepreneurs launching new stationery businesses.
Typical clients: Existing stationery brands needing production capacity, creative entrepreneurs who have design vision but no manufacturing capability, retailers wanting exclusive products competitors cannot access, influencers or artists launching branded merchandise.
Advantages: Complete creative control over design. Your unique product that nobody else sells. Build real brand equity in your own product line. Scalable manufacturing without capital investment in equipment or training craftsmen.
Transparent Pricing Structure
We believe in upfront pricing. No hidden fees, no surprises. Here is our general price structure for genuine leather journals.

Genuine Leather Journals
These prices are baseline estimates for standard A5-size journals with genuine leather covers. Actual pricing depends on specific requirements.
- Under 12 units: $50 per unit
- 50 units: $30 per unit
- 100 units: $25 per unit
- 1,000 units: $20 per unit
- 5,000 units: $15 per unit
For small quantities (under 50 units), please visit our custom notebook page for individual orders.

PU Leather (Synthetic) Journals
If genuine leather is not required for your project, PU leather offers significant cost savings while maintaining professional appearance.
- PU leather options: Approximately 50% cheaper than genuine leather prices listed
- Quality note: PU leather works well for promotional items and corporate gifts where budget is a primary concern
Sampling cost: $50 deposit for sample development, excluding shipping. This deposit applies toward your first production order.
What Affects Price?
Several factors can increase or decrease the final per-unit cost:
- Design complexity: More intricate designs, unusual shapes, or complex binding methods require more labor hours
- Leather type: Full grain leather costs more than top grain, which costs more than PU
- Custom paper: Special paper stocks like premium ivory, custom-printed pages, or unusual GSM weights add cost
- Branding method: Simple debossing is most economical. Foil stamping, multi-color printing, or woodburn artistry (see below) costs more
- Packaging: Basic poly bag is included. Custom boxes, pouches, sleeves, or retail-ready packaging add cost
- Quantity: Larger orders reduce per-unit cost significantly due to production efficiency
For wooden box packaging options, see our custom wooden box page.
Minimum Order Quantities
Our MOQ policy is designed to make manufacturing efficient while remaining accessible to growing brands.

Export Orders
Minimum: 100 units
For international shipments, we require minimum 100 units per order. This threshold ensures shipping costs remain reasonable per unit and justifies the export documentation process.
We have shipped to Canada, Germany, Netherlands, and UAE. Shipping is handled via DHL with support from our logistics partner for documentation.

Domestic Orders
Flexible based on project
For orders within Indonesia, we can be more flexible with quantities. Contact us to discuss your specific needs. Generally, bulk pricing begins at 50 units.
For orders under 50 units with custom branding, visit our standard custom notebook page.

Fully Custom Design
Minimum: 100 units
When developing an entirely new design from scratch (white label), we require minimum 100 units to justify the design development, sampling, and setup work involved.
Sample development starts with $50 deposit. You get 3 free sample iterations to perfect the design before production.
Materials & Options
Every component of your journal can be customized. Here is what we offer.

Leather Options
Full Grain Leather: The highest quality. Shows natural texture and develops beautiful patina over time. Most durable and premium option. Best for luxury positioning.
Top Grain Leather: Sanded and treated for uniform appearance. More affordable than full grain while still being genuine leather. Good balance of quality and cost.
PU Leather (Synthetic): Vegan-friendly option. Consistent appearance, many color options, significantly lower cost. Suitable for promotional items or budget-conscious projects.
We source leather from Indonesian tanneries in Magelang, Garut, and Malang. If you have specific leather requirements or want to supply your own materials, we can discuss accommodation with prior confirmation.

Paper Options
HVS 90 GSM: Standard writing paper. Smooth surface good for everyday writing with most pen types.
Bookpaper 90 GSM: Cream-colored paper with slight texture. Easier on the eyes for extended writing. Popular choice for journals.
Ivory Paper: Premium off-white paper with elegant appearance. Often used for executive journals and luxury positioning.
Paperina (Specialty): Special paper stock for specific applications. Discuss requirements with us.
Page layouts: Lined, dotted, squared (grid), blank, or custom printed pages available. Custom printing allows your branding, quotes, templates, or any design on interior pages.

Binding Methods
We have deep experience in bookbinding and can execute virtually any binding method:
Coptic Stitch: Exposed spine binding. Pages lay completely flat. Distinctive handcraft appearance. Our signature style.
Case Binding: Traditional hardcover binding. Clean, professional look. Spine can be printed or embossed.
Saddle Stitch: Stapled binding for thinner notebooks. Economical option for promotional items.
Long Stitch: Decorative exposed binding with visible stitching along spine. Artisanal appearance.
Japanese Stab Binding: Side-stitched binding with decorative thread patterns. Unique aesthetic.
Other methods: If you have a specific binding style in mind, ask us. We likely can do it.
Branding & Customization Methods
Multiple techniques available to put your brand identity on the product.

Standard Branding Options
Debossing: Your logo or text pressed into the leather, creating an indented impression. Classic, elegant, and durable. No color added, just the impression in the leather’s natural tone. Most popular choice.
Embossing: Opposite of debossing. Your design raised above the leather surface. Creates dimensional, tactile branding.
Foil Stamping: Metallic or colored foil applied with heat and pressure. Options include gold, silver, rose gold, and custom colors. Adds premium shine and visibility to your branding.
Laser Engraving: Precise etching using laser technology. Excellent for detailed logos, fine text, and intricate designs. Creates permanent marking that cannot wear off.
Screen Printing: Ink applied directly to leather surface. Allows full color printing. Good for colorful logos or detailed artwork that cannot be achieved with stamping.

Premium Artisan Option: Woodburn by Belgi Al Huda
For clients seeking truly exceptional, one-of-a-kind branding, we offer woodburn artistry by Belgi Al Huda, a renowned woodburn artisan from Bogor recognized as “Ekraf Unggulan Jawa Barat” (Featured Creative Economy of West Java).
Woodburning (pyrography) creates unique, handcrafted designs burned directly into the leather. Each piece becomes genuine art with slight variations that prove its handmade nature. This option is ideal for limited edition products, executive gifts, or brands positioning themselves at the highest luxury tier.
Note: Woodburn customization requires additional lead time and cost due to the individual artisan attention each piece receives. This is not mass production. This is commissioned artisan work.
Your own materials: If you want to supply your own leather, paper, or other materials, we can accommodate this with prior confirmation and discussion of logistics.
Packaging Options
From basic protection to retail-ready presentation, we offer packaging solutions for every need.

Basic
Poly bag protection included with all orders. Keeps product safe during shipping. Suitable for B2B orders where you will repackage.

Sleeve
Paper or cardstock sleeve wrapping the journal. Can be printed with your branding. Good balance of presentation and cost.

Pouch
Fabric or leather pouch containing the journal. Adds perceived value. Pouch itself becomes a usable product for the recipient.

Box
Rigid or folding boxes with custom printing. Full retail-ready presentation. We also offer custom wooden boxes for luxury positioning.
Retail-Ready Solutions: Need products ready to go directly to store shelves or e-commerce fulfillment? We can add barcodes, product information cards, hang tags, and any other elements required for retail distribution. Discuss your retail requirements with us during planning.

Production Timeline
Realistic timeframes so you can plan your inventory and launches properly.
Sample Development
Approximately 1 week
From confirmed design brief to physical sample in your hands (plus shipping time). This includes material preparation, production of sample unit, and internal quality check before shipping.
Sample deposit: $50 (applied to production order). Shipping cost paid by client. 3 free sample iterations included to get the design right.
Small Production Run
50 units: ~2 weeks
After sample approval, small batch production runs typically complete within two weeks. This includes material sourcing, production, quality inspection, and packaging.
Timeline begins after sample approval and production deposit received.
Large Production Run
500 units: ~1 month
Larger orders require more production time due to material volume and handcraft nature of our process. Our capacity is approximately 2,000 units per month.
For orders exceeding monthly capacity, we will provide realistic timeline during quotation. We do not rush and compromise quality.

Important: These timelines are for production only. Add shipping time based on your location. International shipments via DHL typically take 5-10 business days depending on destination and customs processing.
How the Process Works
From first contact to delivered products, here is what to expect.
1. Initial Discussion
Contact us via WhatsApp. Our admin will connect you with the owner to discuss your requirements, quantities, timeline, and budget. We believe in efficiency: discuss thoroughly upfront to avoid misunderstandings later.
2. Quotation & Agreement
Based on discussion, we provide detailed quotation covering materials, branding, packaging, and timeline. Once agreed, sample development begins with $50 deposit (100% upfront for sampling).
3. Sample Development
We produce physical sample and ship to you. You receive up to 3 free iterations to refine the design until you are satisfied. Shipping cost for samples is your responsibility.
4. Production & Delivery
After sample approval, pay 50% production deposit. We manufacture, inspect each unit manually with care, and notify you when ready. Pay remaining 50% before shipment.

Quality Control
How we ensure every unit meets standards.

Our QC Process
Every single unit is inspected individually before packaging. This is not statistical sampling. This is 100% inspection because our production volume allows us to maintain this standard.
We check:
- Leather surface for defects, scratches, or color inconsistencies
- Stitching alignment and thread tension
- Binding integrity and page attachment
- Branding quality (deboss depth, foil adhesion, print clarity)
- Overall assembly and finish
- Packaging condition
Defective units are set aside and not shipped. We would rather remake than ship substandard product.

Defect Policy
We replace defective units free of charge.
If you receive products with manufacturing defects, document the issue with photos and contact us. We will produce replacement units at no cost. You pay only the shipping for replacements.
We are responsible adults. Mistakes can happen, but we take ownership and make it right.
If There’s a Dispute
If you have concerns about the final batch, give us reasonable explanation of the issue. We commit to civil discussion to find a fair resolution. Our goal is long-term partnership, not one-time transactions where one party feels cheated.
Payment & Shipping
Clear terms for smooth transactions.
Payment Structure
Sample phase: 100% upfront ($50 minimum deposit)
Production phase: 50% deposit to begin production, 50% balance before shipping
Payment methods accepted:

White Label Specifics
Important details for brands using our private label manufacturing service.

Confidentiality
We respect that your designs are your intellectual property. If required, we are willing to sign Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to protect your design specifications, branding, and business information.
Your brand’s secrets stay with us.

Branding Removal
For white label orders, we completely remove all Hibrkraft branding from products. No hidden tags, no stamps, no marks. The products appear entirely as your manufacture.
Your customers will never know we made it. That is the point of white label.

Design Exclusivity
Honest policy: We may produce similar designs for other clients. However, we will inform both parties if designs are similar. We believe in transparency over secret competition.
If true exclusivity is critical for your brand, discuss exclusive licensing terms with us.
Is This Service Right For You?
We want to work with clients who are good fit for our capabilities. Here is honest assessment.
You Are Ideal Client If:
- Stationery brand owners looking for reliable manufacturing partner to scale production without building own facility
- Corporate gifting companies needing quality leather journals with client branding for executive gifts, employee welcome kits, or promotional items
- Etsy sellers and online entrepreneurs who have built customer base with handmade products but cannot keep up with demand alone
- Marketing agencies sourcing premium branded merchandise for client campaigns
- Retailers and gift shops wanting exclusive private label products that competitors cannot source
- Companies with 50+ unit needs and appreciation for handcraft quality over mass-produced alternatives
- Hustlers and builders who value efficiency, clear communication, and fair dealing
We Are Not Right Fit If:
- You need fewer than 50 units: Please visit our custom notebook page for individual and small orders. That service is designed for smaller quantities.
- You need cheapest possible option: We are handcraft workshop, not factory optimized for lowest cost. If price is only consideration, mass-production facilities in China will be cheaper. We compete on quality and service, not price.
- You need extremely fast turnaround: Our products are handmade. If you need 500 journals in one week, we cannot help. Quality takes time.
- Your timeline is inflexible without planning: We recommend contacting us 2-3 months before you need products for large orders. Last-minute urgent requests strain everyone.
Content Guidelines
Transparency about what we will and will not produce.
We work with clients from all backgrounds, industries, and beliefs. Our workshop serves everyone equally and inclusively.
However, we decline projects involving:
- Adult content: Pornographic or sexually explicit designs
- Politically sensitive content: Content that could create significant controversy or legal issues in Indonesia
- LGBTQ themes: Due to the sensitive nature of this topic in Indonesian context, we cannot produce products with explicit LGBTQ messaging or imagery
This policy exists because our craftsmen live and work in Indonesian society. We must consider their comfort and the potential consequences they face in their community. This is not judgment of your beliefs or values. It is practical reality of operating a workshop in our context.
If you have questions about whether your design falls within our guidelines, ask us directly during initial discussion. Better to clarify upfront than waste everyone’s time.
Why Partner With Hibrkraft?
Beyond the practical details, here is what makes us different.

Handcraft at Scale
Even when producing hundreds of units, every journal passes through craftsman hands. We use machines to assist, not to replace human skill. This means your products have character and quality that factory-made journals cannot match. Your customers will feel the difference.

Direct Owner Communication
You will communicate with the workshop owner, not layers of account managers. Our admin handles initial contact, then connects you directly. This means faster decisions, clearer understanding, and someone who actually knows production answering your questions.

Honest Partnership
We tell you if something will not work. We tell you if your timeline is unrealistic. We tell you if another supplier might serve you better. Short-term sale is not worth long-term reputation damage. We want partners who come back, not one-time transactions with disappointed clients.

Local Sourcing
Our leather comes from Indonesian tanneries with generations of experience. Working with local suppliers means quality control, supporting domestic industry, and reducing environmental impact from international shipping of raw materials. Your products have a story of Indonesian craftsmanship.

Flexibility
As a small workshop, we can adapt. Need a binding method we have not done before? We will figure it out. Want to supply your own materials? Let us discuss. Have unusual specifications? Bring them. We are craftsmen who solve problems, not assembly line workers following rigid procedures.

Recognized Quality
We are listed as “Ekraf Unggulan Jawa Barat” (Featured Creative Economy of West Java), recognized by UMKM Juara Jabar, and featured on Kreasi Jabar. These recognitions reflect consistent quality and legitimate business operation that you can trust.

This policy protects our craftsmen who live and work in local community. If uncertain whether your design fits our guidelines, ask directly during initial discussion.
How do I communicate with you?
Primary channel is WhatsApp. We also do Zoom calls for detailed discussions. Admin handles initial contact and connects you with workshop owner for substantive conversations. We support English communication for international clients.
What is your approach to working relationships?
Our philosophy: discuss thoroughly (three times if needed), sample and refine (up to 3 iterations), then produce once efficiently. Front-loading communication prevents problems. We value partners who appreciate efficiency and clear expectations over endless back-and-forth.
