A Grounded Collection: When Two Characters Meet in the Open

In the world of handwork there is no higher praise than a customer who comes back. This post from @widitp is a portrait that says a great deal about exactly that. It is not only a product photograph but a collection—evidence of a relationship that keeps growing.

In this shot, so rich in atmosphere, our two journals appear like a pair of close friends with different personalities. The one in front, in a lighter brown with firm white stitching, gives off a strong and structured character. Its two black buttons lend an impression that is modern and secure. Behind it, its companion in a darker, deeper colour arrives with a calm simplicity, bound by a leather strap wound easily around it. Its pages, which look full, are the silent witness to the many journeys and the many thoughts already stored inside.

Placing them on a mossy rock against lush green is no accident. This is their natural habitat. The photograph shows that these journals are not sterile things for display but tough companions in adventure, as much at ease in the open air as on a working desk. They are vessels for the ideas born of observation and of reflection.
