The Perfect Recipe for a Full Afternoon
There is a recipe for food. There is a recipe for a drink. And there is a recipe for a perfect afternoon. This photograph from @pinchyminchy at Crematology Coffee is the last of those. A formula executed beautifully, for looking after the mind and the soul.
Let us take the ingredients apart. A cup of coffee or tea, well served. A tempting slice of cake. A book, “Psych 101”, to feed the brain. And a Hibrkraft journal, to digest all of it.
A Playground for the Mind
I feel like the combination of a book and a journal here is very strong. The book is the intake. It gives you facts, statistics and theory about “the science of the mind.” It is the input. But where is all that information worked through? Where does it become your own understanding?
The answer is right there. Inside that two-tone leather journal. It is the playground. The laboratory. The place where the ideas from that book can be written down, questioned, and connected to your own experience. Without the journal, the book would only ever be passive knowledge.

An Ecosystem of Quality
See how our journal, with its uneven and organic cut of leather, sits comfortably among all these quality objects. It does not feel awkward. It is part of an ecosystem chosen with a high sense of taste.
This is the scene that makes us proudest. Seeing our product not merely as an object but as an essential tool in someone’s ritual. A tool as important as good coffee or an enlightening book.
There is food for the body, there is food for the mind, and there must always be somewhere to digest both.
Thank you, @pinchyminchy, for showing us the ideal habitat of a Hibrkraft journal. In the middle of flavour, aroma and new ideas.
The best investment is the one you make in yourself. Your next tool for that investment may be here.
