Out of a Journey, a Poem Is Born
We have seen this journal once before, at thirty thousand feet, an anchor on the narrow fold-down table of an aeroplane. At that point it was a promise. A potential. A canvas still waiting.
And here is what came next. The ‘afterwards’ moment. This photograph from @pgandina shows us what happens once a journey ends. A first page, open. A poem titled “Jarak Rindu” — the distance of longing.
A Vessel for a Longing
This journal is no longer an object we made. It has become a vessel. A safe space for a feeling both deeply personal and fragile. Look at that handwriting. Every letter of it is the trace of a thought, an emotion born of distance.
I feel like this is where our work is really finished. Not when the journal sells. Not when it is beautifully photographed. But when it becomes the silent witness to a poem like this one. When it is trusted to hold something that matters so much.

More Than Paper
The traditional cloth that kept it company on the journey is now a page marker, as though holding that feeling in so it does not spill. The same pen has now finished its work. Every element in the earlier photograph has met the fate that was its own.
This is such a powerful reminder for us. We do not sell leather. We do not sell paper.
We sell an empty space that can hold the weight of a longing.
Seeing “Jarak Rindu” written on paper we prepared is an honour beyond measure. Thank you, @pgandina, for showing us not only how our product looks but how it lives and breathes alongside you.
Your longing, your story, your feelings… they deserve a home. Find the right home for them here.
