The Most Precious Gift We Have Ever Received

There are ordinary days in the workshop. There are also days when we stop working, gather in front of one screen, and smile. The day we received this work from Marshaquila (@marshaquila) was one of those days. This was not an order. This was not a testimonial. This was a gift.

And it is the most precious gift we have ever received.

“For Hibrkraft”: An Honour

Look at this work. A wise owl, perched on a book, complete with a hat that makes it look so dapper and so learned. Surrounded by tendrils of leaves that seem to grow from the pages of the book itself. This is not merely a drawing. It is an unofficial logo. It is a mascot. It is how an artist sees the soul of Hibrkraft.

And in the bottom right corner, two words that melted our hearts: “for hibrkraft.” Those two words change everything. This is no longer merely a work of art. It is a love letter. An acknowledgement from a creator to the makers of the tools.

A Perfect Circle

I reckon this is the highest dream of any artisan. We make books and canvases in the hope that they become the birthplace of beautiful ideas. We hope to inspire creativity.

Then that creativity turns around and inspires us. It is a perfect circle. The energy we pour into every stitch and every cut of leather comes back to us in the form of a wise owl painted in watercolour.

We make the vessel. Our customers fill it with a soul. And sometimes that soul overflows and comes back to us. That is the wonder of it.

Marshaquila, thank you. This work of yours has a special place in our hearts. It is a constant reminder of why we started all of this: to be a small part of your world, so full of colour.
