A Gift from the World of Numbers and Lines
Look at the world in this photograph. The intricate blueprint of a machine. Tables of dimensions. Precise lines and numbers that must not be wrong. This is the world of Irfan Prasetya (@irfan_prasetya_24). A world built on logic, on function and on technical accuracy.
Then, on top of all of it, lie two objects that seem to come from a different world. Two hand-sewn leather journals. Warm, organic and full of character. What are these things, so full of feeling, doing in the middle of an ocean of logic?
The answer is simple and beautiful: this is a gift.
A Bridge Called a Journal
Irfan did not buy these journals to record Shaft Dimension calculations. He bought them as a present for his girlfriend. And in that one act an extraordinary story is revealed.
He took something from his own world—the need for a tool that is reliable and functional—and translated it into a language that speaks straight to the heart: a handmade object made with full attention. He chose two. One for himself, one for his girlfriend. No longer two books but a symbol of a pair. A shared space.
An Engineer’s Choice
I feel like there is something very poetic here. A man surrounded by precision components made by machine chooses, of all things, something made by human hands as a gift. Something with the perfect ‘flaws’ that make it singular.
Perhaps because he knows the value of a thing well assembled. Whether a diesel engine or a notebook. He looked at the workmanship, at the stitching, and he knew it was good. He knew it would last.
Perhaps these are not merely two books. They are a bridge between the world of engineering and the world of art. Between logic and feeling.
Seeing our journals in this context is an honour. It is evidence that our product is not only for artists or writers. They are for anyone who wants to give a sincere gift. Anyone who wants to say, “I am thinking of you,” in a way that goes beyond words.
