Not Merely a Customer: A Story About Support and Deep Roots
There is a bazaar. There is a crowd. There are hundreds of people passing through a busy shopping centre. But among all of it there are moments that become anchors, that remind you why you started any of this. This photograph from Gigih (@gigihzz) at the Hibrkraft stand in Kota Kasablanka is one of those anchors.
On the surface it is a sincere testimonial. But look deeper and it is a story about support. About friendship. About roots.
A Smile We Know
The smile in that photograph is not an ordinary customer’s smile. It is the smile of a friend. Gigih is not a stranger who happened to be passing. They are a friend, a junior from the same alma mater as our founder. They did not come by chance. They came to give support.
And in one simple photograph the whole ethos of Hibrkraft is made real. Wooden shelves we built ourselves. Journals we sewed one at a time. And a friend who came to say, “Keep going. What you are doing matters.”

“Reccomended Abis Gans!” — Totally Recommended, Mate
Then there is the caption. Sincere, unfiltered, straight to the point.
Hibrkraft handmade journal reccomended abis gans! Cocok banget buat lo yang suka vintage dan nulis nulis.
Totally recommended, mate — perfect for anyone who likes vintage and likes writing. They understood. They did not only look at the product, they saw its essence. “Likes vintage and likes writing.” That is our DNA. Those simple words from a friend, in the noise of an exhibition, echoed further than any professional review could.
Strange, is it not, how a simple stand made from old pallet wood, in the middle of a grand shopping centre, can feel like home? Perhaps because a friend came to visit. Perhaps because every product on that shelf has a story.
Hibrkraft was not built in a corporate meeting room. It was built out of moments like this one. Out of the support of a community, out of the spirit of its artisans, and out of the trust of people who have known us from the beginning. When you hold one of our journals, you are holding a piece of that story.
Thank you for coming, Gigih. Your support means everything.
